Do you have Bipolar Disorder?
This is for a Research Study and is not for Treatment.
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has established a Genetics Initiative for Bipolar Disorder to help scientists learn more about how genes affect the development of bipolar disorder.
We are looking for patients with Bipolar Disorder and both their parents.
Participation involves a one-time interview and having a simple blood draw (about two tablespoons). The blood will be sent to a central repository at Rutgers University where genetic material will be stored and made available to scientists.
Participants will be paid $75.00 for up to 2 hours and their parents $25 for about 30 minutes.
Contact Robert Tell, LCSW 503-220-8262 x56198 at the Portland VA Medical Center 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Rd. Portland, OR 97239 for more information.
