We're looking for people 21 - 30 years old to participate in a study of technology use. We want to get to know you in depth, to understand how technology fits into your life. You would be asked to complete a series of online exercises/essays, then meet with the researcher once for an interview in your home and another time to do something (errands, hanging out, socializing with your friends) outside your home. This kind of study is fun and not hard at all - you don't have to do much that you wouldn't already be doing, you just have to let us hang out with you.
The thing is, we need people who fit a certain profile. You'll qualify if you're the right age and you're "tech-savvy" (dorky researcher term): you own and frequently use a laptop and a phone that can access the internet, use public wireless and have a home wireless network or access to one, and use web 2.0 type tools (Facebook, Twitter, blog, etc.). If you know what all this stuff is and how to use it, maybe even show your friends how to use it, then you're perfect for us.
We'll need to talk with you further to make sure you qualify, but if you do, the project will end the week after July 4th, so you need to be available to complete these activities over the next week and a half to two weeks at the latest. If you're interested, please send the following information to the reply email listed here:
1. What brand of laptop you own and approximately when you bought it.
2. What other mobile internet devices you own (phone, second laptop, etc.)
3. What social networking sites/services you use more than once a week.
4. Approximately how many times you use public wireless in an average week.
5. Your age and occupation.
6. A phone number and best times to call you.
COMPONSATION IS $500
