Research study for low income families -- make $100!

Mothers and their children, between the ages of 7 and 16,
are invited to participate in a study on the effects of living
in an urban environment on cognitive functioning.

We are studying families who are of lower socioeconomic status
(for example, families who make less than $30,000 a year or receive government assistance).

If your child is between the ages of 7 and 16 and is interested in participating, we are seeking EITHER:

* Children or teenagers who have either witnessed domestic violence between their mother and an intimate partner or have experienced abuse
OR
*Children or teenagers who have NO history of experiencing serious traumatic events (such as domestic violence, serious accidents, abuse, or community violence).

„« Parents will be asked to complete a confidential interview about their child at the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco.
„« Children will be asked to complete a confidential interview, and will receive intellectual, memory, and attention testing.

Participation will take between 2-4 hours. To compensate you for time
and traveling expenses, families will receive $100 in CASH.

If you are interested in participating in this study please call (415) 955-2191 or email: family_violence_study@yahoo.com and leave your name
