Gift Ideas for Preteen Girl

Hi all,

I am looking for gift ideas for my 12 year old daughter. She is not allowed to have a cellphone or her own computer, is not into video games, and just took over my Ipod (so she doesn't need another one).

I am looking for a bigger item (I have always done a big (aka expensive) gift & a few small gifts for each child). I have a few smaller items but I am stumped on a bigger gift.

Her birthday is in two weeks, so I have already purchased some gifts for her birthday (clothes, jewelry, and an Itunes card).

Help?!?

I just bought some of those beading kits to make your own jewlery for my 11 year old grandaughter for her birthday and she went wild over them. I got them at Walmart.

Dont know how big your going, but what about a TV for her room? Surround sound with speakers and jacks? an Entertainment center for the tv. How bout a Kindle? ( or whatever the ereaders are called)..How bout a Smoothie Maker? It might encourage better eating habits?

I decided on an inexpensive Android tablet (that I can use parental controls on). This will allow her to play games, read books, listen to her music, and watch movies on it.

I think (I hope) she will like it.
