I remember waiting with mom for 2 hours at eh doctor's office this and then 1 hour and a half in the afternoon at the hospital to get blood test typed/crossed matched. This was today.
I remember when I hadnt started school yet and tried to imagine what the school buses looked like on the inside... I imagined they had big round tables that everyone sat at to ride the bus to school.
I remember waiting in line for hours in the 1970's for gas!!!
Me too! My students and I had to drive 80 miles one way to get to our clinical setting. I would fill up before I left Ann Arbor, drive all over Monroe Co Mich visiting patients, and then have to wait for a fill. I spent some anxious moments hoping the station wouldn't run out so I could get home.
Luckily, DH had a company truck and they had their own pump so I knew he could come get me.

I remember when a milkman delivered milk into a little metal insulated box on our back porch - and if my sister and I were good, on Saturday mornings my dad would stick a little piece of paper in the box that said "chocolate" and we would get a quart of chocolate milk along with our white milk. Oh, the sweet simple pleasures of childhood....

I remember that too, Pepper. . .although, I do remember sometimes not being happy at the prospect of who would win, I do NOT remember actually being AFRAID of the possible outcome. Today I am afraid.
