I sent this as a gift and it was a big hit. It really smells like KFC. The cat was very impressed.

Excellent gift for the KFC lover!

The smell is awesome. In the box they will still fill your room with awesome spicy smell. That smell is even stronger when burning. The downside is that our fire attracted a local dog. So if animals are a concern then maybe skip, but otherwise burns long and bright with a fun smell

I've been buying these as Christmas gifts for a few years!  The 2021 edition smells even better and I love the new red box and wrapper!  Also excited to enter the log cabin sweepstakes!  Just scan the QR code on the back of the box.

Makes a great holiday gift!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a teaser, when you smell it you will want some KFC asap. The aroma is unmistakable the sander recipe. The bag is completely sealed so the aroma is not readily available until you open the package. When you open the package you will see that the package contains small pieces of product that is compressed into the shape of a log. This is not edible in no way shape or form. This has the aroma. Not the colonel's recipe. This is for burning only.

Dissapointed - Don't expect any smell at all

I bought this after seeing it on my local news station. I was so excited once the fire log arrived. WOULD not buy again. Them while it does have a smell unlit, I did not get the same effect once I used this in my fireplace.

This did not have one iota of chicken scent!  It didn't even smell like a log burning.  Though I have to mention the box burned fabulously. I will not be purchasing this again.  It's for the birds

Kentucky Fried Disappointment

This thing is disgusting! Does not smell anything like what they claim. It's waxed recycled cardboard and is mostly smoke than fire. It gives off a sickening chemical smell that you won't forget. I feel the EPA should know about these things. I was tricked into buying and burning someone else's trash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sooooooo excited to try this log! We even ordered some KFC to have fun! The burn on the log was lovely! It instantly caught fire and looked pretty! And then we waited and waited and waited…. I even kept sticking my head in the fireplace and nothing. There was ZERO smell of the wonderful 11 secret spices of KFC! To say I was disappointed is an understatement!

There was little if any scent, but it does burn quite nicely.
